At Comanche ISD, we work hard to support our dyslexic students! With fully trained and licensed dyslexia therapists on board, Comanche ISD searches for students with dyslexic characteristics in their very first years of school and provides multisensory intervention as early as possible. Dyslexic students are monitored and guided throughout their entire school careers, and accommodations are provided if needed until graduation.  Comanche expects its dyslexic students to go on to college, if they desire, and ultimately into rewarding jobs and careers.

I am Rebecca N. Jones, Comanche's Dyslexia Coordinator. Although I started off my career teaching high school history and government, I am now a licensed dyslexia therapist (LDT) as well as a certified academic language therapist (CALT).  It is my goal to have a progressive dyslexia program at Comanche which taps into technology, uses innovative practices and ideas, and ultimately provides well for its dyslexic students. Be sure to check the dyslexia information located on Comanche ISD's website.

As coordinator of Comanche Elementary's Gifted & Talented program, I work toward improving Comanche's gifted curriculum as well as advancing learning opportunities for our GT students. These students are our problem solvers of the future and a most important part of our academic population! Comanche's GT Handbook is also located on the COMANCHE ISD website.

Participate and support the great students of Comanche ISD as we challenge them to excel and celebrate their accomplishments! Join our staff as we adapt to and conquer every challenge we face by demonstrating the qualities of being
